Epic Games has made some big Fortnite changes at the start of Chapter 3 – Season 2. The biggest change was the removal of the building mechanic, which was the core of the game. Furthermore, the video game developer has added some other mechanics, such as the shield overcharge, and more changes will be released very soon.
It appears that the current season will be filled with new content every week. In addition to that, we will once again see progressive map changes throughout the season. Leakers have shared some interesting details regarding the upcoming Fortnite changes and they are going to be very exciting!
Upcoming Fortnite changes will affect map and gameplay
According to HYPEX, the most popular Fortnite Battle Royale leaker, the all-out war between The Seven and the IO will start very soon. When The Seven takes back parts of the map, they will take IO’s tanks, turrets, and outposts, and turn them into theirs. Furthermore, they will crash three blimps, including the one above Tilted Towers!
The best thing? The Seven will reclaim the territory thanks to players! There will be a new encounter mode in the game which might be similar to the Sideways Encounters from Season 8. In this mode, players will help The Seven take the island back from the IO!
The all-out war is going to bring many new things
Many reputable leakers have shared the leak about the upcoming game mode that will be about helping The Seven. Players will get the “Help The Seven reclaim [POI]” message on their screen and this encounter will have three stages. According to Egyptian_Leaker on Twitter, there will be five different POIs where these encounters will happen:
- Daily Bugle
- Coney Crossroads
- Tilted Towers
- Rocky
- Reels
- Condo Canyon
At the moment, there aren’t many other details regarding these upcoming Fortnite changes. However, the aforementioned leaker claims players will fight IO guards to reclaim these places. Furthermore, the boss music will be playing during the encounter.
Even though only five places have been leaked, there is a chance that the fight will spread out to other named places and landmarks as well. After all, we can expect The Seven to be making progress and will push the IO back, which is why there could be many other places including in these new encounters.
