Anthem has found itself in a very precarious position thanks to the rise of skepticism in the community. Many gamers are weary of whether or not BioWare’s latest title will be worth the purchase. In fact, one of the greatest concerns among gamers is whether or not Anthem will have this “Games as Service” approach and what that would entail.
However, if there’s something gamers should respect BioWare for is the fact that they have been answering questions thoroughly. Going as far as debunking claims about a delay for the game last month.
Anthem Will Not Have a Season Pass
Given its design as a multiplayer-oriented game, players had a lot of doubt regarding Anthem’s monetization scheme. The prime concern became whether or not players would have to purchase a Season Pass for DLC content in the future. However, last weekend, Michael Gamble has confirmed that there will be no such thing in Anthem.
No season pass. Just get the game – don’t worry after that. https://t.co/On4L0wC97k

Michael Gamble’s tweet was a response for a concerned fan who wanted to know about the existence of DLC. According to Gamble, what BioWare said a few months ago will still hold true even today. As such, the only monetization scheme in Anthem will remain in cosmetic microtransactions.
Once again, BioWare is showing that they have learned from their mistakes. However, the tension in the gaming community has remained at an all-time high. Do you think Anthem will truly be BioWare’s return to form? Are you satisfied by BioWare’s transparency?
