It didn’t take long for the crew at Sony to put together an MLB The Show 19 Bryce Harper trailer. The popular PlayStation game had fans buzzing Thursday evening when the news broke that Bryce Harper had finally signed a deal. That means a cover for MLB The Show 19 would finally be revealed. Gamers also got a quick trailer featuring Harper in a Phillies jersey as well.
Baseball fans everywhere knew Harper has to sign somewhere soon. The only question was where? It is rumored that it came down to a battle between the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. Last night we found out that Harper will spend the next decade or so in Philadelphia.
Bryce Harper Trailer
So finally, with spring training well underway, Bryce Harper has a place to call home. The MLB The Show 19 cover athlete will don a Phillies jersey for the next 13 years. Well, that is if he really fulfills his enormous contract.

Harper inked a 13-year $330 million-dollar deal with the Phillies. If you think that is huge, you are right! It is the biggest sports contract ever signed – anywhere.
Now that the contract drama is over for Harper, the baseball action can finally begin. It will be a pressure-filled season or two ahead for Harper and the Phillies. They have a ton of talent, but with that contract, fans will want to see instant results.
Will Harper be No. 1 again?
Last season, Bryce Harper was the top rated right fielder on MLB The Show. Harper had a player rating of 88. That put the star right fielder ahead of Boston’s Mookie Betts (87) and New York’s Aaron Judge who sat at 86.
Will Harper hold the No. 1 spot in 2019? Betts is coming off of an incredible season and may deserve the No. 1 rating. Also, let’s not forget about Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich. Yelich is heading into 2019 off his best season yet as a pro. Yelich is known to switch outfield positions at times, but he surely should be a top 10 rated player this season.
While we await the MLB The Show 19 ratings, at least fans finally have a true cover picture to go by! MLB The Show 19 will hit stores everywhere on March 26.
