The popular PlayStation game MLB The Show 19 is due to hit shelves in March, and Harper has been chosen to don the cover. However, what uniform, if any, will he be sporting is still unknown.

Harper is one of, if not the most sought after free-agents to hit the open market in decades, which makes signing him not so easy. In fact, don’t be surprised if he isn’t signed before pitchers and catchers report for spring training in early February.

With several MLB teams interested in acquiring the 26-year-old, it will be very interesting to see if Harper holds out for the most money or the most security in length of contract years.
The power-hitting lefty has made it clear that he would love to sign a deal that is seven years or longer. That in itself may have several team owners hesitant to pull the trigger on a deal.

Bryce Harper is not your average baseball player, that we know. But did you know that the Las Vegas-born star actually has odds posted on him to which team he will sign with?
It seems Las Vegas sportsbooks believe that Harper is favored to end up either in Philadelphia or Los Angeles. If so, Phillies and Dodgers fans sure don’t mind that news. For several months rumors suggested Harper would end up in the Bronx and sign a long term deal with the New York Yankees.
That doesn’t seem realistic when you have Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge already roaming the outfield. That is unless a plan to deal Stanton away is in the works. With the Yankees, you never know! NY fans would love to see Harper in Pinstripes on the MLB The Show 19 cover in March.
Once cover athlete Bryce Harper has officially signed it’s also going to impact those MLB The Show team ratings. As of MLB The Show 18, the LA Dodgers were ranked second overall amongst all teams in the game. Meanwhile, the Yankees were fifth, and the Phillies ranked No. 19 overall.
Harper would give a major boost to any of these rosters. The Phillies are most likely to surge right up that list thanks to his skills.
