Finally, Honus Wagner is getting his due on MLB The Show! Of course, he has already been acknowledged in many ways on The Show, but now, Honus Wagner is officially a Signature Series member.
Honus Wagner Signature Series
Honus Wagner was one of the best players of his time. In fact, even that statement doesn’t do him justice. Wagner was one of the first hitters to take charge of the game at the dawn of baseball as he was the original hitting machine!
In his 21 years in the big leagues, Wagner led the league in batting average 8-times. In 1900, Wagner drove in 100 runs and finished the season with a .381 batting average. If you want to talk about video game-like numbers, Wagner is your man!
He wrapped up his two decades of play with a career .328 average, 3,420 hits, and 1,732 RBI. Those type of numbers helped Wagner earn a perfect 99 OVR on his Signature Series card!
Joining good company
Honus Wagner was the last piece of the puzzle in the latest MLB The Show 19 Signature Series reveal.
Wagner joins former Cardinals and Padres great Ozzie Smith, along with Indians fire-baller Bob Feller, the recently retired Troy Tulowitzki, Ty Cobb, and Hanley Ramirez.
With all of these Signature Series heroes in the Hall of Fame or prepping for a run at the Hall following retirement, these cards are going to be a must-have for any gamers collection.
All of these cards are now available for fans but don’t hesitate, you never know how long you have to get them!
