The seventh set of the MLB The Show 19 Headliners Pack is now available and it features some serious star power. A blast from the past clutch hitter in Wade Boggs, along with current dominate pitcher Zack Greinke, have now arrived as the two latest additions in the Headliners Pack series.
Wade Boggs Headliners Pack shines through
MLB The Show 19 New Headliners Pack always grabs gamers’ attention. As indicted on The Show Nation, a Signature Series Wade Boggs (Diamond, 98 OVR 3B) and Signature Series Zack Greinke (Diamond, 96 OVR SP) are now in the mix.
When you think of some of the best hitters to ever suit up, you have to mention Wade Boggs. Boggs’ 98 Rating may actually be low in some fan’s opinions.
From 1982 to 1989 Boggs was arguably the best hitter in the game. During that stretch, he led the majors in hitting five out of six seasons, finishing each season with a BA of .350 or higher. Those are video game-like numbers.
Greinke, the dominator
To say Zack Greinke was a beast for the Kansas City Royals is an understatement. While many fans in Kansas City wish they never lost Greinke, they do have fond memories of the hard throwing right hander.
Greinke’s Signature Series is a flashback to when he was 25-years-old and dominating batters in the American League. During that season, Greinke finished 16-8 with an ERA of 2.16.
He also went on to win the Cy Young Award. While the Royals always knew that they had a special pitcher on their hands, the rest of the baseball world was introduced to Greinke that season.
As always, previous featured Headliners can still be found in The Show Pack, including Bryce Harper in a Phillies uniform, along with bundles in the Show Shop.
