MLB The Show 19 new Topps Moments have been revealed! The Moments mode is personally one of my favorites, and the fact that The Show adds Moments that just took place within the last week or two is awesome! The latest releases include New York Yankees pitcher James Paxton and Texas Rangers slugger Joey Gallo.
James Paxton Earns his Pinstripes, Braves huge rally
On April 16, James Paxton made his first start as a member of the New York Yankees. It was one to remember. First of all, it was against New York’s rival, the Boston Red Sox. That in itself makes it even bigger. Of course, it is his performance that means the most. Paxton threw eight scoreless innings while striking out 12 batters.
The next Moment is an instant classic for Atlanta Braves fans. The Braves began the 9th inning against the Indians trailing 7-3. The fans started chopping and so did the Braves offense! The Braves put a five-spot up in the ninth and won in walk-off fashion 8-7.
2nd Inning History Moments
How about some classic memories added to the Moments mode? The Show has that! Dubbed “On this day in baseball history,” here are three memories that can be relived on MLB The Show 19.
On May 4, 2018, Albert Pujols of the Angels became the 32nd member of the 3,000 hit club. Pujols’ 5th-inning single off of Mike Leake of the Seattle Mariners put him in the elite club.
How about a Bambino classic? On May 7, 1917, Babe Ruth outpitched Walter Johnson of the Washington Senators and knocked in the winning run with a sacrifice fly. Talk about the first all-around star. Now you can win the game just like the Babe over 100 years later!
Last but not least, Bartolo The Great! May 7, 2016, is a day that will be linked to longtime pitching great Bartolo Colon. Colon hit his 1st Major League home run at Petco Park off of James Shields. Now you can repeat history and hit the home run locked in as Bartolo Colon.
Fans of Colon know that is no small feat!
