The Show has arrived! An MLB The Show 19 release extravaganza took place last night as the Sony crew counted down the hours like it was New Year’s Eve! Fans and gamers alike are giving early reviews on the latest version of the popular PlayStation game, and so far, it has all been positive.
Social Media reactions
One thing gamers agree on is that MLB The Show 19 is one of the most realistic looking baseball games on the market. The reactions from fans and some MLB players themselves are lighting up social media today.
Seattle Mariners pitcher Sam Tuivailala is just one of the MLB players who couldn’t wait to get the action rolling. Tuivailala announced that he is teaming up with Sony and MLB The Show 19 to help raise money for charity. That is awesome.
Excited to announce that I’ve partnered up with @sony this year! I’ll be streaming and bringing you some action on @mlbtheshow join the stream and let’s play some ball! See you guys Wednesday @ 5pm https://t.co/BjbOEdkEMe

If you need some extra time in your busy schedule, Bryce Harper has your back. Harper, the 2019 cover athlete for The Show, tweeted out an excuse form for gamers. If you get any flack from your boss, parent or teacher, just print off the following form and all should be forgiven.

Well, depending on the person you are submitting the form to that is! Either way, if they happen to be a fan of the boys of summer, you should be just fine.
Minor glitch
The only early downside to the MLB The Show 19 release was a minor glitch in the Diamond Dynasty mode. Some users took to social media as they were seeing empty Diamond Dynasty teams when they attempted to access the mode.
UPDATE: Empty DD Team Issue – we've identified the issue and pushed a fix. Please restart the app and re-enter DD.
Thank you for your patience.

The team at Sony got right on the issue. Sony responded quickly to the problem and suggested that users need to restart the app to get their team to appear. The issue was so widespread, MLB The Show Tips tweeted out who to contact in all situations.
