The trailer for MLB The Show 19 has officially arrived! The hype surrounding the latest release of the popular PlayStation game has been building since last season ended. While there is still over a month to go until the game officially hits the market in late March, the trailer already has gamers talking!
While last year’s trailer brought the present and past together in dramatic fashion, especially if you are a New York Yankees fan, this year does even more.
MLB The Show 18 revisit
In 2018, The Show trailer begins with cover athlete Aaron Judge strutting up to the plate. After a few cutaway scenes to other players, Judge is seen crushing a long home run to left field.
The final ten seconds or so of the 2018 trailer shows newly added legend Babe Ruth doing his classic home run call. In the new trailer, 2019 cover athlete Bryce Harper is nowhere to be found.
New Perks confirmed in 19?
Chris Sale and David Price on the heels of a shot of the Green Monster at Fenway Park. That is how The Show 19 trailer begins, and it quickly moves after that!

What we do know is Bryce Harper is noticeably M.I.A. and unlike year’s past, no cover shot is revealed at the end of the trailer. Well, not one that is any different than what gamers have seen all winter long.
If Harper doesn’t sign with a team soon, that may just be the cover for the latest version of the Show this March.
As mentioned here at VGR last week, new leaked perks, broken into four different categories, looked to be confirmed by the MLB The Show 19 trailer release as well.
Obviously, the creators at The Show saved the best for last. Willie Mays looks to be coming on board in 2019. The famous 1954 World Series catch is how the trailer ends. Bravo guys! The “Say Hey Kid” making his classic catch in right field, and you can’t go wrong there!
