Hernandez, Torre, and Ellsbury attributes
We’ve got a look at all three of those new Boss players below. Here’s the new 96 overall Diamond King Felix card complete with a five-pitch repertoire and impressive attributes.
Next up is former catcher and eventual New York Yankees manager, Joe Torre. This item is a 98 overall card from back when he played for the Atlanta Braves.
Last but not least, is Boston Red Sox center fielder Jacob Ellsbury with his new 96 Diamond item. He doesn’t have Diamond Defense and 91 fielding is part of the attributes, but he’s only got 52 Arm Strength. It’s weak for sure.
Which of the above cards will you choose? YouTuber Gomes offers some insight in his latest video.
It’s worth noting that Joe Torre is going for up to 125,000 Stubs on the Marketplace. Ellsbury is getting up to 153,000 and Fernandez 129,000 Stubs as of this report.
Bret Saberhagen featured in Headliners Set 23 packs
Former Kansas City Royals ace Bret Saberhagen is the new MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 23 pack star. He gets a slightly higher rating than King Fernandez above with a 97 overall inside the packs. Saberhagen only has a four-pitch repertoire, though, which includes 4-Seam Fastball at 95 mph and Slider at 86 mph.
His Stamina is 114, with 91 Ks over nine innings, and 92 Hits over nine innings. Saberhagen also has 96 Breaking, 91 Control, 91 HR over nine, 80 Velocity, 73 Arm Strength and 65 Fielding as part of his attributes. Quirks include Pressure Cooker, Workhorse, Stingy, Untouchable, Control Artist, and Grounded.
The card is available randomly in the Headliners Set 23 packs. These cost 7,500 MLB The Show 20 Stubs each with a limit of five per account. Each pack has one guaranteed Silver player and three other player items. There’s also a chance at finding Saberhagen or another Diamond player inside.
Right now, prices for Saberhagen on the Marketplace look to be between 43,000 and 49,000 Stubs. So for those MLB The Show 20 fans who have racked up the in-game currency and want a solid pitcher consider that.
