There are a lot of different ways to enjoy the MLB The Show 20 video game. They range from casual play against the CPU to participating in player Moments, Ranked Seasons, or a weekly hitting Challenge. One of the fun ways to play and potentially gain some great rewards is with the Battle Royale mode in Diamond Dynasty. Here we’ve got an MLB The Show 20 Battle Royale Guide complete with a look at how to win those big Flawless Rewards.
How does MLB The Show 20 Battle Royale work?
MLB The Show 20 Battle Royale is a fun way to play quick games against other competitors online. The way it works is simple, as you’ll get to draft a 25-man squad from a player pool consisting of various levels of players. Some will be great, others may not be quite so great. However, it ensures a level playing field when you go into battle.
It’s initially free to enter Battle Royale. However, if you lose twice, you’re eliminated and then it costs 1,500 MLB The Show Stubs. So winning is key. Even with the losses, you’ll still get guaranteed rewards, which are MLB The Show packs. You’ll also gain experience along the way.
In Battle Royale, once you’ve drafted your 25-man team, you’ll advance to a game and the CPU will find an opponent of a similar competitive level for you. From there, you’ll go head-to-head in a three-inning game. The object there is to win the game.
You can see tips and tricks for drafting a squad in the YouTube video below.
Keep in mind that pitchers will be depleted of energy quicker in these shorter games. So you’ll be using that as a basis for your strategy. You’ll begin to see when your players are running low, so don’t overlook that. Also, utilize the typical strategies such as pinch hitters or runners when possible in the shorter situation.
The big objective is to win as many games as possible. As you win more games, your prizes will improve. Read below to get a feel for the prizes.
What are the Battle Royale Flawless Rewards?
As mentioned, as you play games, you’ll gain rewards in Battle Royale. Losses typically get you just an MLB The Show 20 pack. However, racking up a bunch of wins will get you a player. At three wins there’s a Silver 75 to 79 rated player.
At six wins it’s an 80 to 84 Gold-rated player. Nine wins is an 85 to 89 Diamond, and 12 wins gets you a 90-plus-rated Diamond player. Not bad at all, for some quick three-inning baseball games.
Flawless Rewards come when you’re able to go a perfect 12-0 in games. That takes some major skill and ability, but it’s possible. It brings you a choice of one of the Flawless Rewards players. You’ll get a pack containing three of the available players and can choose one for your squad, or sale.
As you can see above, some of the players include big-time options such as Braves aces Tom Glavine and John Smoltz or former Orioles slugger Manny Machado. Any of these options can be a great way to build up your Diamond Dynasty team, or help you gain some more Stubs to use as needed.
