There may not be a baseball season in sight yet, but the new MLB The Show 20 Challenge of the Week 7 is currently live. It features the high-powered bat of Yankees slugger Aaron Judge as he faces two-time MLB All-Star pitcher Jordan Zimmerman of the Tigers. Here are more details about how the challenge works and what’s involved as far as the weekly prizes.
Judge battles Zimmerman in MLB The Show 20 Challenge of the Week 7
In MLB The Show 20 Challenge of the Week 7, you’ll play as New York Yankees All-Star Aaron Judge. He was featured as one of the three options for MLB The Show 20 Legacy players along with Ken Griffey Jr., and Bryce Harper. However, here you’re using him in a different hitting challenge and not a regular game.
Facing Detroit Tigers ace Jordan Zimmerman, the objective is to keep racking up the hits, and the farther they go the better. As you continue to get consecutive hits, your overall score will jump even higher with multipliers coming into play.
Balls that you hit in play get one point per foot they travel and get multiplied by any multiplier boosts you have in effect. Once you get on a hitting streak with three straight hits, you’ll also have a tougher difficult working against you. However, once you strike out, that difficulty and your multiplier boost will reset.

In this mode, it’s just you versus the pitcher, with only strikeouts considered outs. You’ll only get three outs total, before you’ll either get a qualifying score, or have to restart and attempt to do even better.
If you take balls during your at-bat that can help boost your multiplier. So, it’s a good idea not to just swing at every pitch. The other good news is that you aren’t limited to how many times you can try the challenge. Keep returning to try it again for a better score until you get on the leaderboard.
The challenge typically resets each Monday with a brand new one.
What can you win for the Challenge prizes?
The top 100 scores for the MLB The Show 20 Challenge of the Week 7 will gain special prizes. Those included MLB Authenticated autographed prizes or digital goods. That could mean an autographed baseball, jersey, or bat from MLB The Show 20 cover star Javier Baez.
It could also mean winning MLB The Show 20 Stubs. Right now, the prize screen shows the potential to win 20,000 or 30,000 Stubs, which will certainly help boost one’s Diamond Dynasty team in the game!
Keep in mind the weekly challenge lasts typically one week, before a brand new challenge with a new batter and pitcher comes into the game.
