One of the new MLB The Show 20 events that popped up in the game is called Switch It Up 1. The new event just got going on Thursday, May 14, and gives a brand new Eddie Murray Diamond card as one of the rewards. We’ve got everything you need to know about how it works and how you can get Murray for your lineup.
Switch It Up 1 joins MLB The Show 20 events
In MLB The Show 20 events you’re tasked with using a squad that has specific requirements. In Switch It Up 1, you’re putting together a team featuring switch hitters and Breakout Series players or Bronze and Common Live Series players.
There are other guidelines as well. The lowest rating a player can have is 62, while the highest they can have is 89 overall. You’ll also be competing on All-Star difficulty in three-inning games.
The objective is to get wins against other online players. The more wins you earn, the better the rewards. For example, three rewards gets a 65-74 Live Series Bronze player, while six wins will get a 75-79 Live Series Silver player, and nine wins will get an 80-84 Live Series Gold player. At 12 wins, you’ll get an 85-89 Live Series Diamond player.
Those are the rewards for just wins. However, getting cumulative wins can also get some great prizes. For example, three will get an MLB The Show pack with 100 XP. With 15 cumulative wins, you’ll get a Gold player. With 20 wins you’ll get Headliners Set 14 pack.
At 25 wins, gamers will pick up a 92 overall Diamond Shin-Soo Choo for their team, and at 40 wins, you’re bringing a Postseason Legend Eddie Murray to the roster. Other rewards include MLB The Show Stubs, the Ballin is a Habit pack, and XP.
This is just the first part of the event and will run until May 22. Switch It Up 2 will begin then and run until June 2.
New Eddie Murray Diamond card
As mentioned above, Eddie Murray’s new Diamond card is the big reward for anyone able to get those 40 wins. It comes with Diamond hitting on a 94 overall item for the 6-foot-2 switch hitter.
Murray’s attributes include 110 Control, 95 Power Right, 92 Contact Right, 88 Power Left, 92 Plate Discipline, 84 Fielding, and 74 Reaction. Check out the complete card below.
As far as Quirks, Murray brings Hitting Machine, Bomber, Walker, Pressure Cooker, and Unbreakable to your Diamond Dynasty team. In the video below, check out GomesDaLegend as he gives more thoughts about the new MLB The Show 20 events for Switch It Up and more.
