With the new MLB The Show 20 game arriving in March, developer San Diego Studios has unveiled some of the top player ratings in the game. Leading the way is the Los Angeles Angels Mike Trout. Starting pitchers Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom are also up high in the ratings, leading all pitchers. Here’s a look at some of the MLB The Show 20 player ratings revealed so far.
Mike Trout leads MLB The Show 20 player ratings
The first several groups of MLB The Show 20 player ratings were revealed via a special live stream video from San Diego Studios (below). During the stream, they mentioned the “Diamond Club” which refers to players that went from Gold in the Diamond Dynasty to Diamond level. They also indicated that Diamond Dynasty rates players from 0 to 99 with any player that is 85 or over considered “Diamond.”
Leading all players for MLB The Show 20 is outfielder Mike Trout received a 95 overall. The next closest player outside of pitchers is the Colorado Rockies’ Nolan Arenado with a 91 overall, followed by right fielder Cody Bellinger who has a 90 heading into the new game. Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer are top pitchers
When it comes to starting pitchers, two are considered the best in baseball. The New York Mets’ Jacob deGrom and Washington Nationals’ Max Scherzer have 92 overall diamond ratings for the game. In terms of relief pitchers, it’s the Brewers’ Josh Hadder sitting at the top with an 88 overall rating followed by the Padres’ Kirby Yates.

The new MLB The Show 20 game arrives on March 17, 2020, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The Cubs’ Javier Baez is the cover star appearing on the various editions of the game. With select pre-orders, gamers get early access to begin playing the game four days earlier.
