MLB The Show 20 Players League Odds: Blake Snell, Amir Garrett, and Trevor May Are Early Favorites

On Friday, April 10, the MLB The Show 20 Players League will get started with the first game of a three-week schedule. A total of 30 baseball stars are competing on the video game to show who’s the best on the virtual diamond. They’ll play shortened games, but fans will be able to watch it live. Believe it or not, there’s also MLB The Show 20 Players League odds for who could win it all.

Snell, Garrett, May lead MLB The Show 20 Players League odds

The MLB The Show 20 Players League odds come via Sports Betting Dime as they cite sportsbooks which give odds for how likely each of the 30 players is to win the competition. Leading the way is former Cy Young winner Blake Snell of the Tampa Bay Rays with +550 odds to capture the championship.

He’s closely followed by two other pitchers. The man he’ll play, Amir Garrett of the Cincinnati Reds, is a +600 favorite. So is the Minnesota Twins’ Trevor May, the man who put the MLB The Show Players League together. The San Francisco Giants’ Hunter Pence and Philadelphia Phillies’ Rhys Hoskins are each +1200 odds to round out the top five favorites.

A total of 10 MLB players are +2000 on the MLB The Show 20 Players League odds. They include Eduardo Rodriguez (Red Sox), Ian Happ (Cubs), Lance McCullers Jr. (Astros), Ty Buttrey (Angels), Gavin Lux (Dodgers), Jeff McNeill (Mets), Tommy Kahnle (Yankees), Juan Soto (Nationals), Luke Jackson (Braves), and Dwight Smith Jr. (Orioles).

All other players are +3500, making the rest of the field longshots in the MLB The Show 20 Player odds.

Snell vs. Garrett odds ahead of matchup

As mentioned, the first game on the schedule pits Tampa Bay’s Blake Snell vs. Cleveland’s Amir Garrett. The Indians’ pitcher just won an MLB The Show tournament, so he’s feeling good heading into this one. Ahead of the game, there are MLB The Show 20 Players League odds for who will win.

SBD lists the Rays’ ace at -135 to take this first matchup, while Garrett is -105 to win the game. In the four-player MLB The Show Players Tournament last month, Garrett defeated Snell in the finals, 2-1. That could make this a revenge game for Snell. However, he will be using a Tampa Bay roster rated ninth overall in MLB The Show 20 ratings.

Garrett was a guest on a virtual MLB Central show a week ago. He talked about his skills with the video game among other topics.

Viewers can see who takes the first matchup and how the MLB The Show 20 odds look tonight starting at 6 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. ET) on Trevor May’s Twitch channel.
