Modern Warfare Games of Summer: Gun Course Trial is Now Live

Games of Summer is a major new seasonal event that spans both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. Today, alongside the Free Access Gunfight Tournament Weekend, that event has gone live. From today until the 8th of September, Games of Summer will give players the chance to represent their countries and compete in solo Trials.

Modern Warfare Games of Summer Trial #1 – Gun Course

Starting today, from the launch of Modern Warfare’s Games of Summer event, five Trials will become available to play. The first Trial, Gun Course, is now available to play. The remaining Trials will launch in-game every day for the next four days until all five are available. Each offers players a different solo challenge and the opportunity to earn both medals and in-game rewards.

Gun Course, the first of the Games of Summer Trials, is exactly what the title indicates; competitors will need to complete a shooting course as fast as possible. To complicate matters, they must hit the enemy targets while also avoiding civilian targets. A variety of different weapons will be available for players to choose from, and the course takes place on a custom map designed specifically for the course.

Medals earned during Games of Summer contribute to a player’s country’s overall performance. (The top-performing 15 countries will be visible on the event’s leaderboard each day.) To earn a Bronze medal in Gun Course, players must complete the course within 1 minute and 30 seconds. To earn Silver, players will need to complete it in under 1 minute. Finally, a Gold medal requires players to complete the course in no more than 40 seconds. Tomorrow, Infinity Ward will be launching the second Games of Summer Trial; Price’s Alley, which will be similar to Gun Course but featuring an endless wave of targets and a few other differences.
