Last week, Treyarch rolled out the Mid-Season Update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone, delivering the next major content release since the season launch. That wasn’t the end of Season One’s new content, however, as a new “Season One Reloaded” roadmap has revealed.
Black Ops Cold War Season One: Upcoming Content
The big new feature coming up on this new roadmap is Firebase Z; a new map for Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode, and the next installment of the Dark Aether storyline. This is certain to be the largest and most significant piece of content coming in the latter half of Season One. It will be launching on the 4th of February, and it won’t be alone. Treyarch will also be releasing a new multiplayer map on the 4th, entitled ‘Express’. An Onslaught variant of this map will also released on the same day.
According to Treyarch, Express will be a new 6v6 map, and is making its return from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. “Express is a roughly U-shaped map featuring two train tracks looping around the transportation hub’s main hall,” explains Treyarch; “Players can expect plenty of close-quarters combat in the hall, but should note that its glass ceiling leaves it susceptible to enemy Scorestreaks.”
Coming up during the second half of the season, the studio will also be introducing new game modes, though the release dates for these have yet to be confirmed. These include a Snipers Only Moshpit, Endurance Mode, and several 3v3 variants of existing modes. Of these, Endurance Mode may prove to be the largest new addition; a large-scale mode on the game’s biggest multiplayer maps where four teams of 10 will complete to collect uranium and detonate bombs. Prior to all this, however, Treyarch will be releasing the last new Season One Operator, Zeyna, on the 21st of January.
