Gamescom is almost over, and CD Projekt Red certainly haven’t run short of content to release. While they have been showing a gameplay demo to press and others at the event, the studio has had plenty for the rest of the game’s fans. Over the course of Gamescom, CD Projekt Red has been releasing batches of Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots, packed with details about Night City. Plus, fans got the release of a short gameplay teaser from NVIDIA, as well as the new song, ‘Never Fade Away.’
The Latest Batch of Cyberpunk 2077 Screenshots
Like the screenshots from the previous sets released during Gamescom, these latest shots were likely taken from the gameplay demo currently being shown. That demo hasn’t been made public yet. It was originally planned to be shown in a week’s time at PAX West. However, CD Projekt Red have cancelled a panel they were due to hold at the event. Instead, they will be livestreaming a 15-minute version of the demo on the 30th of August. That video will be accompanied by developer interviews and commentary.
The demo, and indeed the screenshots, focus on the Pacifica district of Night City. The Cyberpunk 2077 E3 trailer put the focus on Night City’s densely urban centre. However, Pacifica seems to have plenty of areas where the high-rise buildings are absent, showcasing dusty streets and tent camps. Fans also get a look at some new vehicles from the game; both cars and a motorcycle.
No doubt the wealth of Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots released during this last week will give fans plenty to speculate and theorise about. While the 15-minute demo may answer some questions, it’s just as likely to leave as many or more unanswered. With the busy September – November release window looming, Cyberpunk 2077 fans may have to wait until closer to the end of the year before CD Projekt Red choose to release more promotional material for the upcoming game.
