As Season 4 continues in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, the next new Operator is now available for players to get their hands on. Following the arrival of Jackal at the start of the season, Salah is a new NATO Operator, and the first of two new characters coming to the NATO faction this season.
Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Operators – Salah
As has been the trend with new seasons in Black Ops Cold War, the first new Operator of Season 4 was both a new member of the Warsaw Pact and a new Perseus agent. Jackal is a South African mercenary hired by Perseus to carry out their objectives in the region. However, following his inclusion, the rest of the Season 4 Operators are all coming to join NATO, and Salah is the first of these.
Jabari Salah is a specialist in counter-terrorism and hostage rescue, and is a member of Egypt’s Unit 777. He is the first Egyptian Operator to feature in the game. “Citing his infectious, positive attitude,” writes Treyarch; “Salah is consistently called out by his peers as a lynchpin of his unit, always driving up morale. […] Always supportive of his teammates, both on and off the field, he seeks to bring out the best in people. When it comes to his enemies, however, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect his teammates and complete the mission.”
Gamers who want to be able to play as him will need to purchase the new “Tracer Pack: Salah” bundle. This bundle includes two Legendary Weapon Blueprints, the Komodo Dragon Finishing Move, a range of cosmetics, and Salah himself. The Blueprints are the “Viperstrike” Assault Rifle and the “Sudden Bite” Tactical Rifle. Later this season, gamers will be able to get their hands on another NATO Operator; Grigori Weaver. The name should be familiar to anybody who’s played through the Black Ops Cold War story campaign. Indeed, Weaver has featured in no less than three different Black Ops games! This will be his first appearance in Multiplayer as a playable Operator, however.
