NBA 2K League Playoffs 2019 Results: 76ers GC, T-Wolves Gaming Advance to Semifinals
The second half of the NBA 2K League Playoffs 2019 results arrived on Thursday night as two more teams moved on to the semifinals. In the first of the best-of-three games series, the 76ers GC advanced after winning the first two games against Pacers Gaming. The second series saw the T-Wolves Gaming and Kings Guard Gaming squads go head-to-head. In the NBA 2K League Playoffs 2019 results, there were no upsets like the night prior as the higher-seeded T-Wolves also advanced.
76ers GC top Pacers in NBA 2K League Playoffs 2019
The first matchup of Thursday evening pitted the 76ers GC against Pacers Gaming. There was no upset to be seen here, as the No. 3 team ended up defeating their opponents in just two games. The first of those games was a close win by 76ers GC, 55-50.
The Pacers squad held a 27-24 lead at the half, but 76ers came back with an 18-11 third quarter and then outscored the opposition 13-12 in the final quarter. Center Steez led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds, but Radiant was also brilliant with a 16 points and nine assists performance.
In the second game of the matchup, it was a much more dominant victory by 76ers GC. They’d open the game with a 24-8 first quarter and built to a 39-27 halftime lead. They kept up the scoring onslaught in the third quarter en route to a 19-point lead. Despite the Pacers outscoring 76ers 17-12 in the fourth, it was one of those situations where time just ran out on their comeback attempt.
With that, the No. 3 seed moves on to play in the semifinals. Radiant was easily the star of the game with double-double of 28 points and 13 assists, but his teammate Steez also added a double-double. The big man finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
T-Wolves make quick work of Kings Guard
T-Wolves Gaming also needed just two games to move on. In Game 1 of Thursday’s second matchup, it was T-Wolves Gaming with a convincing 64-51 win over Kings Guard Gaming. They held a 35-24 lead at the half, but Kings Guard made the spirited third quarter comeback attempt, pulling to within three points of their opponents. However, T-Wolves were ready with an 8-2 run to open the fourth quarter. They simply never allowed Kings Gaming a chance to get back into this NBA 2K League game.
The second game of the series saw T-Wolves claim victory against, this time by a final of 56-49. From the get-go, they took a 14-7 lead after the first quarter and held a 27-18 advantage by the half. Kings Guard attempted to make a dent in the lead in the fourth quarter, outscoring T-Wolves 15-12 but it was too little, too late. Point guard BearDaBeast put up 22 points and dished out nine assists to lead the way for his squad in the win.
Based on the opening round NBA 2K League Playoffs 2019 results, teams were making sure they played effectively and efficiently. The Warriors and Celtics advanced on Wednesday night. All four semifinals teams did so by winning two games without allowing their opponent any chance for a deciding game. Now they’ll move on to the semifinals. The games get started at 5 p.m. ET on Friday night on NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
