Durant, Mitchell headline NBA 2K Players Tournament
Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell will be part of the field of participants in the NBA 2K Players Tournament. Both players were among those from the league to test positive for coronavirus, and both have been given clean bills of health. KD’s news came just recently, with Mitchell’s coming days ago.
They’ll be joined by other All-Stars, rookies, and veterans. They include Andre Drummond (Cavs), Trae Young (Hawks), Patrick Beverly (Clippers), DeAndre Ayton (Suns), Hassan Whiteside (Trail Blazers), Rui Hachimara (Wizards) and Derrick Jones Jr. (Heat) among others. A full promo video arrived from the NBA (below) showing the NBA 2K Players Tournament.
The ranking or seeds for the players is based on their NBA 2K20 overall ratings. That easily put KD as the No. 1 seed followed by All-Stars Trae Young, Hassan Whiteside, and Donovan Mitchell. The full brackets are shown below giving a look at how the first round will go and who could be facing off in the later rounds.
