NBA 2K19 Generation Next Packs: Lakers’ Lonzo Ball, Mavs’ Luka Doncic Highlight MyTeam Cards
The future of the NBA is in the hands of a talented group of young rising stars. They include the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers’ Lonzo Ball, Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young, and Dallas Mavs’ Luka Doncic. Two of those players are up for this year’s Rookie of the Year Award. All three players are now part of the exciting new NBA 2K19 Generation Next packs released in the game.
Who’s in the NBA 2K19 Next Generation Packs?
While new NBA Playoffs Moments are underway, some of the young stars in the NBA are watching from the sidelines. They’ll get their time eventually. Meanwhile, Generation Next stars are available boasting the league’s young stars. While gamers won’t find upcoming draft stars like Zion Williamson or Ja Morant, they will find this past season’s rookie and sophomore stars. That includes the aforementioned trio as Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball is now in the packs with a 97-rated Pink Diamond card.
Dallas Mavericks forward Luka Doncic and Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young each land Galaxy Opal cards for these packs. That makes sense as these will be the two guys listed atop the voting for NBA Rookie of the Year. They’re joined by the top 2018 NBA Draft pick, DeAndre Ayton of the Suns, among other young stars.

Those are the top NBA 2K19 Generation Next cards currently available in packs. They start at 11,250 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for a single pack in MyTeam Market. There are other cards floating around for young stars including the Hornets’ Miles Bridges, the Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr., and more. Those cards are available through the Auction House as well.
Ben Simmons Galaxy Opal is the top prize
There’s also a Galaxy Opal Ben Simmons card hanging around. However, this one isn’t available in the packs. Instead, Gamers need to collect all of the other NBA 2K19 Generation Next players. Below you’ll see how much Doncic and Young are getting for their Galaxy Opal cards in recent auctions.
Once those other Generation Next players are assembled in a set, the Galaxy Opal Ben Simmons card is all yours! Otherwise, it’s going to cost a pretty insane amount of Virtual Currency to buy his card at the Auction House. We’ve yet to see the card up for auction but they’ll get there. MyTeam gamers seem to love running with larger point guards, such as Simmons or Magic Johnson, so expect the Sixers PG to go for high prices.
