It’s NBA All-Star Weekend 2019 and all of the best players in basketball have descended upon Charlotte, North Carolina. That includes celebrities, the young stars of the future, and the current group of NBA All-Star players. The NBA 2K19 game has been quite active so far this weekend, as their presence in the real and virtual games is on point. After Friday’s Celebrity All-Star Game and Rising Stars events, they’ve brought some new content. Kyle Kuzma is having some moments this season for sure. 2K19 has also thrown a name out there for their predicted winner of Saturday’s Skills Challenge.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Moments Card for NBA Rising Stars MVP

Friday night brought the NBA Rising Stars Challenge featuring Team USA against Team World. It was a who’s who of rookies and second-year stars within the league. Among the star players involved were the Sixers’ Ben Simmons, Bulls’ Lauri Markkanen, Hawks’ Trae Young, Mavs’ Luka Doncic, and Suns’ DeAndre Ayton. Simmons tallied 28 points, six assists, and five rebounds in a losing effort.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kyle Kuzma scored 35 points to go with six rebounds and two assists in a 161-144 victory for Team USA. In celebration of his latest on-court moment, NBA 2K19 MyTeam released a new Kyle Kuzma Moments card. The new Pink Diamond card features a 97 overall making for a sweet pickup in 2K19. It’s available in the packs as of Saturday (Feb. 16).

The Lakers star previously had a Pink Diamond card in the game, but this one brings sweet stats as well. To get that new Pink Diamond Kuzma, gamers need to open in NBA All-Star 2019 Moments packs in the game right now. Kuzma is also available at the NBA 2K19 MyTeam Auction House.

NBA 2K19 adjusts Ronnie 2K’s ratings, predicts Skills Challenge

A few hours ahead of Kuzma’s big night, Ronnie 2K Singh of NBA 2K19 was part of the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. He competed as part of the Away team alongside other celebs including Ray Allen and Quavo. Ahead of the game, 2K19 tweeted to show off Ronnie 2K’s in-game rating of 80.

Ronnie was active ahead of the game and during, as he asked fans to vote him as the MVP. He even promised 2K19 locker codes if he won the award. After his performance of four points, six boards, two blocks, and two steals, there was no MVP Award. His rating dipped just a bit too as he was part of the losing side.

The game saw musician Famous Los win the MVP Award for the Home team. Quavo, Ray Allen, and Jay Williams all put up some impressive stats as well, including shots from the special four-point line. It takes skills to hit from long range, but more skills to hit from a longer range. Ronnie will have to work on getting his skills up to improve that rating for next year’s edition.

NBA 2K19 predicts All-Star Saturday Skills Challenge winner

Speaking of skills, the NBA Saturday Night events will include the three-point and slam dunk contests. Those include stars such as Kemba Walker, Stephen Curry, Dennis Smith Jr., and Miles Bridges. Ahead of those, there is also the Skills Challenge which isn’t to be slept on. The NBA 2K19 player Skills Ratings are shown below for all of the participants in the event.

As seen in NBA 2K19’s tweet, they’re predicting a Nikola Jokic victory. The Denver Nuggets star has the top overall Skills rating out of the group of players with a 95. De’Aaron Fox comes close with a 94, while rookies Trae Young and Luka Doncic are ones to watch. One has to wonder what’s in store in the game should Jokic win tonight’s contest.
