A double-overtime thriller recently took place in the NBA and the 2K crew rewarded two stars from the game with NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards. After the San Antonio Spurs topped the Oklahoma City Thunder a few nights ago, NBA 2K19 MyTeam Diamond cards are now available for LaMarcus Aldridge and Russell Westbrook. In addition, MyTeam cards for several other star players are now circulating in packs.
NBA 2K19 MyTeam Cards: Diamond for Westbrook, Pink Diamond for Aldridge
To recap quickly, the Spurs and Thunder needed two extra sessions in San Antonio to decide their game two nights ago. When all was said and done, the Spurs came away with a 154-147 win. Westbrook achieved an impressive triple-double consisting of 24 points, 24 assists, and 13 rebounds. Due to that, he now has an NBA 2K19 MyTeam Diamond Moments card with a 94 rating.

While Westbrook’s performance was nice, it’s hard to ignore Aldridge’s stats in the winning effort. The Spurs’ big man recorded a game-high 56 points on 20-for-33 shooting. He also grabbed nine rebounds, gave out four assists, and blocked four shots in the win. As a result, Aldridge got a Pink Diamond Moments card with a sweet 97 rating on it. He and Westbrook join previous Diamond Moments card recipients including Paul George and Derrick Rose.
In addition, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma also picked up a Pink Diamond for MyTeam. Kuzma’s moment was for his performance on January 9 against the Detroit Pistons. Kuzma stepped up in the absence of superstar LeBron James to score 41 points on 16-for-24 shooting. It was a career-high for the second year player who now has a 96-rated Pink Diamond card.

One other player mentioned in NBA 2K19’s tweet is the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Andrew Wiggins. The former No. 1 pick scored 40 points and collected 10 rebounds to help his team defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 119-117. With that moment, Wiggins’ Amethyst card with a rating of 92 is now in the game.
The 2K19 tweet mentions that other cards are available so be on the lookout for these in the packs right now. Adding these to a lineup can give some major boosts to a lineup in need of star power!
