NBA 2K19 Player Ratings: Zach LaVine, Kemba Walker Among Upgraded Stars

After 10 games or so for most NBA teams in the real season, a new upgrade is in effect for NBA 2K19 player ratings. Several players saw sizable boosts. They include some of the NBA’s success stories from the first part of the season. Among them are the Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine and Charlotte Hornets’ Kemba Walker who each have been on a scoring tear. There’s also a number of star players who saw their ratings decline in the hit NBA 2K19 game.

NBA 2K19 player ratings boost for LaVine, Walker

Right now, Kemba Walker is the second overall scorer in the NBA with his 30.1 points per game average. Walker’s been shooting more three-pointers and ranks just below Stephen Curry in both those categories. Due to Walker’s excellence in the early going this season, 2K Sports rewarded him with a nice three-point player rating boost, making him an 89 overall. Two other players received that boost: Damian Jones and Rodney McGruder.

However, there were a handful of players with a four-point boost including the Bulls’ Zach LaVine. He was at the top of the scoring leaders’ list for a short while but has since dropped to No. 6 overall with 28.1 points per game. Still, he’s now an 84 overall. Other players who received the four-point upgrade are Caris LeVert (80), Zach Collins (74), and Ryan Arcidiacono (70).

NBA 2K19 player ratings on a downward trend

While a number of players saw their NBA 2K19 ratings climb, others didn’t have as much success in the early part of the NBA season. That includes the Boston Celtics’ Kyrie Irving who a 91 overall now after falling two points. His teammate Gordon Hayward also fell two points to an 86 but based on the last few Celtics’ games that may soon turnaround for these All-Star caliber players.

The drop by Kyrie Irving also helped the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard. He gained two points to move to a 92 overall. That now has him ahead of Irving on the top 10 overall players in the game.
