NBA 2K19 Steam Charts In Top 30 Most Popular Games For PS, Xbox, Switch Controllers
The year-end video game charts are arriving as 2018 closes out. While many gamers are still enjoying the sports video games out there, others are already anticipating the next versions and potential upgrades for popular titles. Still, it’s hard to argue that the NBA 2K19 game, despite its flaws, has its fans on different platforms. Based on how NBA 2K19 Steam charts for the various controllers, it appears to be a popular choice, but is still showing its issues.
NBA 2K19 Steam Charts: Top 30 spot for Steam, Switch Pro
The Steam game platform released a look at the most popular games on their site based on which controllers were being used. With that, the Steam staff compiled their controller-friendly lists for games. It’s no surprise that NBA 2K19 ranked in the top 30 for both the Steam controller and Nintendo Switch Pro controller.
NBA 2K19 took the No. 20 spot on the Nintendo Switch Pro friendly list. Just ahead of the NBA title on the Nintendo Switch list by four spots was PES 2019. Pro Evolution Soccer is the rival to EA Sports’ FIFA 19 title. As of this report, EA’s games such as FIFA, Madden, and NBA Live are not available for sale on the Steam platform.
On the Steam controller friendly list, the NBA 2K19 title just cracked the most popular list at No. 30 overall. Still, the game holds “Mostly Negative” reviews from a total of nearly 5,000 gamers on the site, showing it still has quite a bit of room for improvement. Most of the negatives come due to complaints about having to spend to enjoy the game, which is becoming common for a lot of games.
The 2K crew continues to unveil some interesting new additions including the recent Winter Madness promotion with a Team Kevin Garnett vs. Team Paul George celebrity game. There’s also special NBA 2K Moments Cards to capture real-life achievements from NBA stars, as well as daily promotions to help gamers get Virtual Currency.
NBA 2K19 Steam Charts even better for PS, Xbox controllers
There are two other controller friendly charts: the PlayStation and the Xbox One friendly Steam games. NBA 2K19 claimed the No. 10 spot on the Xbox controller friendly list, showing its popularity there. It was also No. 10 on the PlayStation controller friendly list, so it’s possible that a lot of PC gamers also own another system, or prefer these controllers.
It’s also important to note that Pro Evolution Soccer (PES 2019) was the No. 1 most popular game on the PlayStation controller list and No. 14 on the Xbox controller list. That could be a sign that EA needs to get FIFA 19 onto the Steam platform as an alternative to the PES title.
NBA 2K19 was also among the top-selling new release games for the month of September. Interestingly, NBA 2K19 was part of Steam’s Top 100 selling games for 2018 in terms of gross revenue. It was in the bronze category of games and over 10 spots below NBA 2K18. This is probably due to the timing of the release as 2K19 wasn’t available until September.
Right now, NBA 2K19 is available for $29.99 at the Steam platform, while PES 2019 is available as a free demo or for $29.99 to buy the game.
