Every so often, the NBA 2K19 MyTeam store brings back a chance for gamers to get some of the best player cards in the game. They’ve done so again as of June 6 with the newest NBA 2K19 Super Packs. These packs contain top cards from the Throwback Playoffs Moments series including former All-Star Gilbert Arenas and recently-retired NBA Champion Dirk Nowitzki.
Arenas, Nowitzki cards available in limited NBA 2K19 Super Packs
The latest NBA 2K19 Super Packs are a limited-time offering which gives gamers a chance at every card from the series they may have missed. That includes two Galaxy Opal cards recently introduced in the series. There’s the Gilbert Arenas and Brandon Roy GO cards available within the Super Packs, as well Pink Diamonds for a number of star players. That includes the “Mailman” Karl Malone and Dallas Mavs’ star Dirk Nowitzki.
A video released by NBA 2K19 MyTeam on Twitter shows off the packs, players, and cards in all their glory.
Gamers will need to spend Virtual Currency or MT currency to acquire a single pack or bundles. They start at 9,750 VC or 12,500 for a single pack at the Store. From there, packs increase to 87,750 VC for a 10-pack bundle or 175,500 VC for a 20-pack bundle. The other way to get these cards is to head into the NBA 2K19 Auction House and place a bid or “buy now” on the card you want. Cards like the Galaxy Opals will bring high prices, though.
NBA 2K Neighborhood adds Nike Air FOG 1 shoes
In addition to the NBA 2K19 Super Packs, gamers who like customizing their MyPlayer in 2K19 should check out the Neighborhood. On Thursday, it was announced that the new Nike Air FOG 1 shoes are now available there. As seen below, there are several different color options to choose to outfit your MyPlayer with. These are exclusive shoes offered ahead of real-world release.
The Nike Air FOG 1 refers to the Nike “Fear of God 1” collab shoes. As seen at Nike’s site (and above), the three color options are a Frosted Spruce (green), Orange Pulse, and the classic Whites. They’re slated for release in the real world on June 8 in stores. However, NBA 2K19 is giving gamers the opportunity to rock them early, virtually speaking.
Unfortunately, as of this report, the NBA 2K servers were experiencing some issues. So keep in mind it may require a bit of patience to get into the Neighborhood for those new kicks.
