The NBA regular season has concluded but summer is upon us. That means NBA Summer League games and more NBA 2K19 content. MyTeam fans are still able to try to acquire the player cards they want the most thanks to new in-game offers. Among the latest are the NBA 2K19 Ultimate Packs. These feature a number of top stars from the past and present including Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.
What are the NBA 2K19 Ultimate Packs in MyTeam?
The new NBA 2K19 Ultimate Packs bring gamers a chance to acquire a Galaxy Opal card for special players. Three of them hail from the Golden State Warriors. Three of them are former NBA MVPs, and several of them are NBA champions. That includes Stephen Curry and recent Brooklyn Nets signing Kevin Durant. A promotional video clip hit Twitter on Friday showing exactly what to expect from these new MyTeam packs.
Here are the five Ultimate Player cards available in the packs:
- Klay Thompson (Warriors) Galaxy Opal
- Kevin Durant (Warriors) Galaxy Opal
- Stephen Curry (Warriors) Galaxy Opal
- Russell Westbrook (Thunder) Galaxy Opal
- Paul Pierce (Celtics) Galaxy Opal
These make for some of the best cards for these players in the 2K19 MyTeam mode. They’re also available for less than a week in the NBA 2K19 Ultimate Packs meaning gamers will need to act quickly if they want to try to add any of the players to their MyTeam lineups.
How to get the packs & players
Gamers can head into the NBA 2K19 MyTeam mode on the game. From there, hit the MyTeam Market to purchase the new Ultimate Packs. They start at 11,250 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for a pack of five cards. That gives the chance to pull one of the Ultimate player cards.
For 15,000 VC or 17,250 MT, gamers can get an Ultimate Deluxe Pack featuring one player and four items. It has a guaranteed Pink Diamond or higher Ultimate player inside. Gamers can purchase 10 of the NBA 2K19 Ultimate Packs for 135,000 VC. Each of those packs has a guaranteed Pink Diamond or better Ultimate player inside along with four items.
Additionally, gamers can get specific player cards from these packs at the Auction House. Here’s a look at the recent action on the three Golden State Warriors’ Galaxy Opal cards. As one might expect, KD is fetching some high prices on the market.
As mentioned, the packs themselves will be available with these player cards for just under a week. However, the auctions will be going as long as players are posting the cards there for sale. Meanwhile, gamers are going to be counting down the days until NBA 2K20 arrives. That officially drops in September so it’s just a few months away.
