The Xbox One X is the newest version of Microsoft’s popular console, featuring upgraded technology. There will be an Xbox One X Special Edition Bundle featuring NBA 2K20. Just as with most of the other versions, NBA 2K20 cover star Anthony Davis is front and center. Anthony Davis shows off the Lakers jersey
On Wednesday (July 17), the NBA 2K Twitter claimed they had the first shot of Anthony Davis in his LA Lakers jersey. That’s somewhat true, as he appeared at an introductory press conference along with Rob Pelinka this past weekend. However, this tweet is everything for Lakers fans who are enjoying the vision of their new star player in the purple and gold.
He’ll wear the No. 3 as he wore that number back in his elementary school playing days. The No. 23 will stay with LeBron James, at least for one season, before he can gift it too Davis. That’s due to production issues from Nike.
The big man seems excited to get back on the court for the 2019 NBA season. He’ll try to help LeBron Jame sand the Lakers reach the playoffs again. During the NBA 2K20 ratings reveal this past Monday, he learned of his 94 overall rating in the upcoming game. While Davis seemed disappointed at first, he also was understanding of why they would assign him that rating. He said he could see why based on his 2018-19 season’s production. That said, his 94 rating puts him at No. 7 overall and right at the top of the list for NBA big men in the new game. Depending on what he does in the coming season, he may even see his ratings climb to the levels of his teammate LeBron James and Clippers star Kawhi Leonard.
Fans can start playing the new NBA 2K20 game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PCs as of September 6, 2019.
