NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Sim Challenges Bring Greatest Moments, Pink Diamond Players
On Tuesday, April 21, a number of new pieces of content arrived in NBA 2K20 MyTeam. That included the new NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Sim Challenges. These feature a number of new playable challenges that feature some of the biggest games and moments in NBA history. Along the way, gamers will earn exclusive rewards too.
What are the NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Sim Challenges?
By going into MyTeam, gamers can now find the NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Sim Challenges for all of the available teams. Each of these has a number of rewards with the main prize for completing an NBA team’s five challenges a Pink Diamond player from their history. Examples include Derrick Rose for the Chicago Bulls, Kevin Garnett for the Boston Celtics, and Julius Erving for the Brooklyn Nets.
We also revealed earlier that you’ll need to complete these as part of the pathway to earning that Kobe Bryant Galaxy Opal card 2K just released. It’s going to be a grind, but a fun one for gamers looking to relive some of the NBA’s history in virtual fashion!
How do the challenges work?
As mentioned, each NBA team has a total of five challenges. The first four challenges may have different amounts of MT as their rewards. Upon completion of all five, gamers receive the team’s Pink Diamond player.
Here’s an example of the Brooklyn Nets Historic Spotlight Sim. In the first challenge, gamers need to have three Nets players on their MyTeam. Not only that, but you’ll also need to win a game against the Denver Nuggets. That will earn 250 MT and unlock the second challenge. Gamers continue on until they’ve completed all five. Challenge difficulties also rise as you move on.
There are plenty of NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Moments to play. The range from 1987’s Bad Boy Pistons to the 1995 Orlando Magic stopping Michael Jordan in his return to the Bulls.
Moments mostly including trying to win games using at least three players from that specific team you’re playing under. Some of them will also see you trying to reverse a historic moment in the team’s favor.
