NBA 2K20 Leap Year Packs Launch Featuring Galaxy Opal T-Mac, D-Rose Cards
Since 2020 is a leap year, it makes perfect sense for NBA 2K20 MyTeam to honor that occurrence with a brand new group of packs and boxes. The NBA 2K20 Leap Year packs officially launched on Friday, February 28 featuring several Galaxy Opal cards for players as well as Diamonds, Pink Diamonds, and more. There’s also a Collector’s Reward to be had.
Who’s in the new NBA 2K20 Leap Year Packs?
The new NBA 2K20 Leap Year packs honor some of the best “leapers” from the NBA’s past and present. A promotional video launched in conjunction with the new packs on Friday showing off some of those stars. There’s no MJ, LeBron, or Vince Carter since they received cards in the All-Star Flash Packs recently.
In Leap Year packs, gamers will be able to acquire new Galaxy Opal cards for Tracy McGrady and Derrick Rose. In addition, Rudy Gay and Paul George have Pink Diamonds, while Lonzo Ball gets a Diamond card. There’s a Tom Chambers EVO card that starts at Amethyst and can be evolved up to Pink Diamond level.
Collecting all of the new NBA 2K20 Leap Year cards will bring a Collector’s Reward. It’s none other than a Dwight Howard Galaxy Opal card to add to the lineup at the center position. Howard previously headlined his own Spotlight Series II packs.
Other cards include an Alex Caruso Amethyst and a Hamidou Diallo Sapphire item for the previous Slam Dunk champion.

The new Leap Year Packs are 11,2500 VC or 10,500 MT or the Standard packs and 15,000 VC or 17,250 MT for a Deluxe pack. There’s also a 10-pack box available for 135,000 VC.
T-Mac’s Pink Diamond has been one of the more popular cards in people’s MyTeam lineups for weeks, and that’s sure to happen once again with this new Galaxy Opal. It’s currently getting the highest prices on the Auction listings of between 445,000 and 1.1 million MT. The D-Rose is the next highest, with listings between 300,000 and 380,000 MT so far.
