NBA 2K20 MyCareer Trailer Arrives Featuring Idris Elba, Rosario Dawson, & More
NBA 2K is bringing the star power when it comes to their brand new NBA 2K20 MyCareer mode. On Monday, they dropped the first official video trailer for that particular mode and it stars Hollywood’s Idris Elba and Rosario Dawson among other actors and athletes. Here are more details on the new NBA 2K20 trailer showing off the upcoming MyCareer mode.

We’ve seen a few NBA 2K20 gameplay reveals, but not a lot of the other modes in the game. Monday changed that with the NBA 2K20 MyCareer trailer “The Lights Are Brightest.” Right away, we learn of a player’s team situation with a character voiced by Iris Elba in the role of the fictional team’s coach. Soon thereafter, we see and hear another woman in the trailer. She’s recognizable been fans as Rosario Dawson from the Netflix Marvel shows and the big screen.
More individuals continue to pop up throughout the two-minute-long trailer. The MyCareer player is having to navigate his path as a team captain. The video gives enough to tease things but not reveal anything too major. However, some of the additional stars who appear in the video make for nice cameos to let gamers know there’s plenty in store.

As seen in the video, it’s executive produced by LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment. King James and his business partner Maverick Carter even appear as video game versions of themselves. Additionally, other actors and athletes show up as characters. They include former Chicago Bulls champion Scottie Pippen and current players such as Kemba Walker, Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram.
In addition to Idris Elba, viewers see and hear characters portrayed by Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2), and comedian/actor LaMorne Morris (New Girl). Overall, it appears NBA 2K really upped the ante with what they’re bringing to this story for the newly updated MyCareer mode.
The NBA 2K20 MyCareer Mode joins other recent reveals for the game. Those included WNBA teams and players, New Classic or All-Decade teams, and more. Gamers can officially get their hands on NBA 2K20 on September 6, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs.
