The latest installment in a line of NBA 2K20 MyPlayer Nation challenges that brings virtual and real-world kicks to gamers is underway. This one features multiple-time Lakers champion Kobe Bryant and the Kobe V Proto Chaos Kicks. Here are more details on the new promotion and how to get a chance to get those real-life Kobe shoes.
NBA 2K20 MyPlayer Nation Challenge: Kobe V Proto Chaos Kicks
The NBA 2K20 MyPlayer Nation challenge officially started on Thursday, December 24, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time although 2K teased it on Christmas night. In order to qualify to unlock access to buy a limited real-life pair of Kobe V Proto Chaos Kicks, gamers need to score more than 42 points with their player and also win a MyPlayer Nation game. Once that happens, they’ll earn the digital version of the Kobe V Proto Chaos sneakers.
Bryant famously dropped 42 points in the Lakers’ Christmas Day game back in 2004. It featured the return of Shaquille O’Neal to Los Angeles, this time as a member of the Miami Heat. In honor of that special holiday performance, NBA 2K is giving gamers a chance to buy a pair of Kobe’s cool kicks.
Gamers will also earn access to buy an “in-real-life” pair of the Kobe sneakers. To do so also includes linking up Nike and 2K accounts online. Full terms of the NBA 2K20 offer are available here.
His Proto Chaos shoes are described as an “iconic” color way on the Nike page as it features a sweet mix of purple, black, gray, and neon green all over the sow. A few custom Kobe items appear on the tongue and back of the show as well. Check them out here.
The first NBA 2K20 MyPlayer Nation Challenge featured the LeBron 17 Bron 2K Nike Gamer Exclusive kicks. The new Kobe Bryant promotion makes for the second in the series, with more expected to come as the NBA season continues.
