It’s a brand new year and that means many people are making resolutions for 2020 including NBA stars and NBA 2K20. There’s finally some new content for the NBA 2K20 MyTeam mode. As of Friday, January 3, NBA 2K released a new type of pack in the MyTeam Market called NBA 2K20 New Year’s Resolutions packs. Here’s the breakdown of what these packs are all about including players, prices, and collection reward.
NBA 2K20 MyTeam Market: New Year’s Resolutions Packs feature PD Arenas, Rondo EVO cards
On Friday, 2K unveiled a new video to show off their New Year’s Resolutions packs for NBA 2K20 MyTeam. The clip is full of highlight plays featuring the stars of these packs. They include plenty of potential for some nice pulls because all of the cards are Evolution items aka “EVO.”
Pink Diamond Bob Petit and Gilbert Arenas cards lead the way. However, there’s an EVO card for DeMar DeRozan as well as Rajon Rondo. The featured collection reward is all-time great Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics.
In an NBA 2K provided a Facebook post with a helpful chart (below) to show off all of the cards. It includes position(s), first gem level, player, and what the card will evolve into. That includes the New Year’s Resolutions of addressing a certain weakness for that player when the card is evolved. For example, Petit gets evolved athleticism and Arenas gets better defense when he evolves.
These new NBA 2K20 MyTeam packs start at 15,000 Virtual Currency or 17,250 MT for a single pack of five cards. However, those packs feature a guaranteed New Year’s Resolutions players inside from the list above. Of course, most gamers would prefer that card to come from the top of the list.
There are also five-card packs for 11,250 VC or 10,500 MT but these only have a “chance” to pull a New Year’s Resolutions player. For 135,000 there are 10-pack boxes. Each pack in the box has a guaranteed NYR player.
As mentioned Bill Russell is back again in MyTeam, this time as the collection reward for assembling all of the players above. Russell is featured on one of the game’s All-Decade teams. His NYR card is a 97 Pink Diamond which goes to an EVO 98 Pink Diamond with evolved outside shot, hence the three-pointer in the video above.
