The new NBA 2K game isn’t without its issues, but they are slowly rolling out new MyTeam content for gamers to take advantage of. While the NBA season doesn’t start for over a month, NBA 2K20 MyTeam is officially going on. They’ve already unveiled several packs featuring major Hall of Fame players including George Mikan. The latest is a brand new reveal with the NBA 2K20 MyTeam Prime Series I: John Stockton packs. These will feature one of the league’s best assists men of all-time among other players.
NBA 2K20 MyTeam Prime Series I packs feature John Stockton
NBA 2K revealed that Prime Series is a new addition to NBA 2K MyTeam mode this year with packs featuring all-time stars and current fan favorites. It’s no surprise that the new NBA 2K20 MyTeam Prime Series I packs’ best overall card goes to John Stockton, as his name is on the first series.
The former Utah Jazz All-Star never captured a championship but had plenty of other accolades. He gave out plenty of assists to the likes of the Mailman Karl Malone and teammates including Jeff Hornacek or Byron Russell. Now Stockton returns for NBA 2K20 MyTeam with a Pink Diamond rated at 96 overall.
Here’s a look at the trailer video for the first edition of MyTeam Prime Series.
Limited-time player cards also include Mutombo, Doncic
However, there are plenty of other players to be on the lookout for, including current rising star Luka Doncic who appears to be the fan-favorite. He’s one of two Diamond player cards featured in these packs along with all-time shot-blocking great, Dikembe Mutombo. Other players include Christian Laettner who was Stockton’s teammate back on that incredible 1992 Dream Team that captured gold for the USA at the Olympics.
Here are the limited-time cards available in the packs:
- John Stockton (Pink Diamond) 96 OVR
- Dikembe Mutombo (Diamond) 95
- Luka Doncic (Diamond) 94
- Christian Laettner (Amethyst) 92
- Darrel Griffith (Amethyst) 91
- Jeff Hornacek (Ruby) 89
The majority of the guys listed up above are former players, with the exception of that Luka Doncic. It’s a card that many gamers will be on the lookout for, but it should be interesting to see if the Dallas Mavs star gets another upgraded card based on in-game performances once the season tips off.
These limited cards are only available for the next week, as a countdown clock is currently running on them in NBA 2K20 MyTeam. To get the packs, gamers can spend 7,500 Virtual Currency or 10,500 MT for a single pack of five cards. There are also 10-pack boxes for 67,500 VC and 20-pack boxes for 135,000 VC available.
