The NBA 2K20 Neighborhood is back! On August 28, NBA 2K dropped a first-look trailer for the popular game mode showing off visuals for gamers to take in. A new NBA 2K20 trailer has arrived following in the footsteps of the MyTeam trailer. In a new video that goes just under a minute and a half, 2K manages to generate quite a bit of excitement for NBA 2K20 Neighborhood mode. Set to the sounds of Walgrove’s “Winner,” the video launches into all sorts of cool new themes. They range from colorful race cars speeding around the courts, to players throwing dodgeballs at each other in a Western theme, and seasonal courts based on Halloween and Christmas.

In addition to the new trailer, NBA 2K20 told fans some of the big things to expect for this year’s installment. That includes:

  • The return of Park Rep
  • 3×3 outdoor Pro-Am
  • New Show-Off Stick
  • Dynamic seasonal changes
  • Over a dozen new Events

Here’s a look at the official NBA 2K20 Neighborhood trailer, aka “The Next Neighborhood.”

Other things that pop up in that NBA 2K20 Neighborhood trailer include a tandem bicycle, “Big Wheels” style bike to ride, skateboards, mascots having a dance-off, players tossing a frisbee, and a Big Top area with big head players.

Trailer reactions, Park Rep making a return

So far, reaction to the new Neighborhood trailer has been mixed. There are those who are looking forward to getting their hands on the new edition of the game to explore what NBA 2K20 Neighborhood has to offer. Others are skeptical, feeling it’s just a makeover which creates an illusion that there are new reasons to play the mode. However, they feel it’s mostly a money grab like other modes are.

That said, many people feel the return of Park Rep is a welcome addition to the mode. This popular aspect of NBA 2K20 Neighborhood involves choosing an affiliation in the game to represent. As your player gets wins, your player also increases their “rep” to unlock different upgrades.

Back in NBA 2K15, they had this feature and 2K hosted a MyPark Championship as part of the Neighborhood Mode with the winning affiliation getting their own special court to play on. It’s unknown what this year’s Park Rep will bring to the Neighborhood.

The Neighborhood is just a part of the game. There are MyCareer, MyLeague, and of course, MyTeam modes. See the recent NBA 2K20 MyTeam in-depth video to see how that mode will look for the game.

The new NBA 2K20 game arrives for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs on September 6, 2019. See more details at the official NBA 2K site.
