NBA 2K20 Out of Position 2 Packs Bring Galaxy Opal Kevin Durant, Bill Russell Cards to MyTeam
As basketball game fans anticipate any news about NBA 2K21 or NBA Live 21, the current generation game is still bringing new content. As of Saturday, new NBA 2K20 Out of Position player cards arrived as the packs make their return to MyTeam. Among the available stars are the Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant, and multiple-time Boston Celtics champion Bill Russell.
New NBA 2K20 Out of Position Galaxy Opal cards arrive in MyTeam
With the NBA 2K20 Out of Position cards, MyTeam gamers get players available at positions you might not normally see them playing. For example, there was a Spud Webb card available at Center and a point guard/center version of LeBron James. With the return of the packs to MyTeam Market, there are now some brand new players to look at including KD, Bill Russell, D-Wade, and Andre Kirilenko.
In particular, KD and Mr. Russell get new OOP Galaxy Opal cards in Out of Position 2 packs. Durant’s card features him from his OKC Thunder days and he can go at point or shooting guard.
KD’s attributes include 98 Outside Scoring, 95 Inside Scoring, 95 Defending, 90 Rebounding, and 95 Playmaking. In addition, there’s 16 Gold and 54 Hall of Fame badges on the card including Giant Slayer, Clutch Shooter, Floor General, and Clamps.
For Bill Russell, his GO card allows the big man to slide into the small/power forward spot on your MyTeam. Russell’s ratings include 98 Rebounding, 98 Defending, 96 Athleticism, 96 Inside Scoring, and 93 Outside Scoring. There’s also 16 Gold and 53 HOF badges.
The official reveal trailer for the OOP packs and cards arrived on Saturday, June 20. Here’s a look at some of the other players who got new cards including D-Wade from his Bulls day, and former versatile Jazz star Andre Kirilenko.
Available player cards and costs
We mentioned the Galaxy Opal Durant and Russell above. AK 47, the former Utah Jazz star also gets one, allowing him to go to center or power forward. There’s also reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo at center or shooting guard with a Pink Diamond. Here’s a look at who all is available.

The NBA 2K20 Out of Position packs start at 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT. A 10-pack box costs 67,500 VC, while a 20-pack box is 135,000. For those who look at auction listings, Kirilenko’s GO is going for 77,000 MT or higher. Meanwhile, Bill Russell listings are as high as 178,000 MT and Durant cards are up to over 1.35 million MT on PS4.
