On Monday, NBA 2K20 MyTeam returned to Twitter to announce the arrival of new cards in NBA 2K20 packs. There are brand new Galaxy Opals for three players including former two-time MVP Steve Nash, and current Boston Celtics star Gordon Hayward. Here’s the latest details about the Throwback Moments cards and their costs.
NBA 2K20 Packs updated with new Throwback Moments cards
A total of five cards arrive as new entries in NBA 2K20 packs with Throwback Moments cards. Leading the way is a trio of Galaxy Opals with Steve Nash, Gordon Hayward, and Robert Parish. With the Nash GO, MyTeam gamers can add a great point guard with seven Gold and 47 Hall of Fame badges. Those include Volume Shooter, Floor General, Ankle Breaker, Dimer, and Clamps.
With Gordon Hayward, the 6-foot-8 small forward represents the Utah Jazz for his GO card. It includes 99 overall Offensive and Defensive scores. Hayward has 18 Gold and 43 HOF Badges with Difficult Shots, Volume Shooter, Acrobat, Hot Start, Pick Dodger, and Clamps among them.
Finally, we have “The Chief” Robert Parish. With his card, you’ll get a new 7-foot-0 center option. The former Boston Celtics champion has 12 Gold and 40 HOF Badges on his GO card. They include Brick Wall, Relentless Finisher, Rim Protector, Clamps, Defensive Leader, and Heart Crusher.
There are two other cards available with a Jeff Teague Pink Diamond rated at 98 overall and a Luc Longley Diamond at 95 overall.
Packs, boxes, and card costs
Throwback Moments cards are randomly inserted in the NBA 2K20 packs and boxes for League Series 2. These start as low as 2,812 Virtual Currency or 3,750 MT each. However, the Standard packs for 3,750 VC or 4,500 MT will give a higher chance of getting a good card.
There’s also a Deluxe pack for 5,626 VC or 6,000 MT, and three different boxes. A 10-pack Standard box is 33,750 VC, while a 10-pack Deluxe box is 50,625 VC. Gamers can get the 20-pack Deluxe Series box for 101,250 VC.
Some MyTeam fans may want to skip the NBA 2K20 packs and go straight to the auctions for the player they want. Right now, Nash is going for over 100,000 MT and as much as 135,050 MT, due to their being better options at PG, such as LeBron’s OOP card.
Parish’s GO card is getting up to 100,000 MT and as low as 86,000 for bidding on the PS4. Meanwhile, Gordon Hayward listings have been close to or over 200,000 MT in some instances on PS4 so his new card at SF/SG could be the winner of the group.
