The new NBA 2K20 patch 10 was released on Wednesday, January 22, but didn’t do much to smooth over the glitches and issues that many gamers feel continue to plague the game. The biggest of the fixes unveiled had to do with updating the hair of a number of players to match their real-life looks. There were a few other small changes, but not much, if any, of what the community is looking for. There was also a popular move removed without any mention made
What did NBA 2K20 Patch 10 update include?
In an official NBA 2K20 patch 10 notes Facebook post, they highlighted that there is new hair for several of the players. They include the Golden State Warriors’ D’Angelo Russell, Phoenix Suns’ Kelly Oubre Jr., New Orleans Pelicans’ Jrue Holiday, and Indiana Pacers’ Myles Turner. A video shows comparisons of before and after looks for all of the players in the update.
Here’s the full list of players with updated hair:
- D’Angelo Russell
- Austin Rivers
- Nerlens Noel
- Robert Covington
- Jrue Holiday
- Kelly Oubre Jr.
- Myles Turner
- Marquese Chriss
- Devonte Graham
- Jordan Poole
- Cody Martin
- Terance Mann
- Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
The patch notes also touched on a few other areas that were addressed through the latest update. One of those was a reduction of button latency during Pro-Am games. This will give a “more familiar user experience,” per 2K’s notes.
In addition, they fixed an issue with badge upgrades not showing properly in MyTeam. Also, there had been reports of users walking onto the court during some of the Neighborhood games. This has now been “addressed” based on their notes.
Behind-the-back move removed, gamers request other changes
The new NBA 2K20 patch 10 update didn’t sit well with plenty of people in the gaming community who feel there is a lot more that needs to be addressed. It also didn’t sit well with gamers who were using a certain move quite a bit.
One aspect that wasn’t mentioned in the notes was removing a behind the back move that gamers were spamming to great success. A number of YouTubers created videos after learning that the move was now dead.
2K’s Ronnie 2K sent out a tweet to call out all the people who were exploiting the move.
Many people were asking for the move to be brought back, but a lot of people were applauding its removal. Other requests include gamers asking for 2K to fix shoe endorsements for MyPlayer, and for them to address an issue where players aren’t substituted in during MyCareer mode.
In addition, there are plenty of people who feel that NBA 2K20 is just a reboot of 2K19 with MyPlayer hairstyles seeming very similar to what was available in the previous title. The game received a poor reaction upon its initial release due to glitches and issues. The developers managed to address a number of issues in other updates.
However, the NBA 2K20 patch 10 update didn’t fix a whole lot, so gamers’ frustrations are understandable. There’s still hope that as the NBA season moves forward, 2K will introduce better updates that make the game closer to the basketball experience gamers want.
