On Monday evening, the NBA 2K20 player ratings were officially revealed for the game’s top players thanks to a live streaming special. Ronnie 2K and Chris Manning were joined by NBA 2KTV’s co-host Alexis Morgan as they spoke about the players in the game. Their special also featured the newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers and 2K20’s official cover athlete Anthony Davis. He spoke about the players in the top 20 after the crew revealed the rest of the player ratings details.
Top four new Dynamic Duos revealed
The NBA 2K20 game rosters will feature a lot of changes across the league, with new superstar pairings on several teams. They’ll include the obvious, with LeBron James and cover athlete Anthony Davis on the Lakers, as well as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the Clippers. There’s also Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant on the Brooklyn Nets as well as the Houston Rockets pairing of James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Here’s how the NBA Dynamic Duos stack up in terms of their average OVR ratings.
Top 5 Rookies in the new game
One aspect of the NBA 2K20 player ratings reveal that many fans were waiting for was the rookies. They revealed the top five rookies from the 2019 Draft and what their ratings are in the new game. Would Zion Williamson be overrated, or underrated?
As expected, the New Orleans Pelicans’ top draft pick has the best rating in 2K20, but is it good enough? Fans will certainly be debating that number and the rest of these top five rookies in the game.
- Zion Williamson (Pelicans) 81
- Ja Morant (Grizzlies) 79
- RJ Barrett (Knicks) 78
- DeAndre Hunter (Hawks) 77
- Darius Garland (Cavaliers) 77
Fans will probably still feel he’s deserving of a higher number based on the hype. However, it’s worth noting that LeBron James came into the 2K game with a 78 overall rating. So Zion will bring the highest rating for a rookie in the 2K game, and can go up from there.

Since NBA 2K7 LeBron has been at the top of the ratings. That doesn’t change with 2K20 where they revealed he is the No. 1 overall player in the game. Kawhi Leonard also surprised fans in the postseason when he and the Raptors captured the title. That has him ranked No. 2 and ahead of the NBA MVP by a point.
