Over the past several days, more NBA 2K20 rookie ratings started to arrive for the upcoming basketball game. 2K’s own Ronnie 2K was part of an NBA Players Association event where he revealed ratings to the rookies and received their feedback. Amongst the new rookie ratings that have been unveiled are the Chicago Bulls’ Coby White and Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro. In addition, we’re seeing some of the first reactions to the rookie numbers from top picks RJ Barett and De’Andre Hunter, amongst others.
RJ Barrett, Coby White react to NBA 2K20 rookie ratings
Weeks ago, the NBA 2K20 player ratings reveal stream showed us the top five rookies. They were Zion Williamson, Ja Morant, RJ Barrett, De’Andre Hunter, and Darius Garland. With the recent NBPA event, Ronnie 2K hung out with most of the rookies and played some NBA 2K20 with them. He also discussed their 2K20 rookie ratings with them to see how they felt about them.
In this cool video clip, Ronnie spoke to No. 3 pick RJ Barrett of the New York Knicks about his 78 OVR rating which RJ was perfectly fine with.

Below are three more of the rookie ratings and screenshots that Ronnie 2K revealed to different rookies at the event. We’d already seen Hunter’s 77 overall, but it’s the first time seeing the other three players’ ratings.
The No. 7 overall draft selection, the Bulls’ Coby White, was the next-highest pick revealed. He’ll have a 76 overall in the new game. White reacted to learning of his NBA 2K20 rookie rating in the video below with Ronnie 2K.

White was also fine with his rating, based on the reaction and his prediction for an 80 is realistic. He’ll take the court in the Windy City this season as he tries to help out with Zach LaVine and company on the Bulls’ roster.
Tyler Herro, De’Andre Hunter, & Jaxson Hayes react
Another player who kept things real was Tyler Herro. The newest member of the Miami Heat’s roster suggested he should be slightly higher than what he received. He also gave a realistic prediction for the end of the season OVR and what he’ll start NBA 2K21 with.

De’Andre Hunter and Jaxson Hayes were also both perfectly fine with their NBA 2K20 rookie ratings. Of the two players, Hunter was more concerned with schooling Ronnie 2K on the game.

Hayes will join this year’s top pick Zion Williamson on the New Orleans Pelicans’ roster. The rookie big man said he thinks his 2K20 dunk rating needs to be 99 after the sick Summer League dunk he pulled off. He definitely has a point, or exclamation point, there.
The new NBA 2K20 game arrives for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on September 6, 2019. Check out our NBA 2K20 pre-orders article for more details on what each of the editions will include.
