On Saturday, NBA 2K fans got one bit of news they may have been waiting for. The official NBA 2K20 soundtrack is now available featuring 30 songs on a star-powered tracklist. Among the artists on the playlist will be some of the best in hip-hop with the late Nipsey Hussle, Drake, Travis Scott, Post Malone, and many more. Here are the full details including a major addition for this year’s 2K soundtrack.
Full tracklist includes Nipsey Hussle, Drake, and others
In EA’s NBA Live 19, Nipsey Hussle was immortalized as a playable baller in the game. He’ll now be immortalized as a featured artist on the NBA 2K20 soundtrack. Nipsey’s popular song “Grinding All My Life” from the album Victory Lap appears as song No. 27 on the tracklist. In addition, the late XXXTENTACION is part of the song lineup with “whoa (mind in awe).”
Also making an appearance on 2K’s new soundtrack is multi-platinum artist Drake. He was a major presence during the 2019 NBA Finals as the Toronto Raptors’ biggest fan. He contributes the song “Sandra’s Rose” from his wildly successful album, “Scorpion” to the 2K20 soundtrack. One has to wonder if he’ll find his way into the NBA 2K20 gameplay as well.
Along with Drake in 2018, hip-hop’s Post Malone enjoyed plenty of streaming success with his variety of hit singles. His newer song “Wow” gets the remix edition onto the NBA 2K20 soundtrack featuring Roddy Rich and Tyga.
Other artists to check for on the tracklist include Meek Mill, Run the Jewels, Travis Barker, 21 Savage, Offset, Young Thug, KRS-One, Billie Ellish, Selena Gomez, and Travis Scott. Of those stars, Travis Scott helped curate the NBA 2K19 soundtrack and appeared on multiple songs. In this year’s tracklist, he’s featured on Offset’s “Legacy” along with 21 Savage.
NBA 2K20 soundtrack curator, new songs, & Spotify stream
While Travis Scott won’t be this year’s soundtrack curator, United Masters will. They tweeted out an announcement video about the new 2K20 tracklist which features nine of their artists. They mention further details will be on the way about “all United Masters artists.”
In an interesting new feature with this year’s NBA 2K20 soundtrack, 2K has also indicated they will add new tracks to it throughout the season. That should keep the music rotation fresh as gamers battle it out on the virtual courts with their teams or players of choice.
Gamers don’t need to have a copy of NBA 2K20 to hear the new playlist as it’s already available online. The complete 46-song NBA 2K20 soundtrack is now live and available for streaming play via Spotify in the player below.
The NBA 2K20 game arrives on September 6, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. See our latest pre-order details here.
