NBA 2K21 Future Rewind Packs Feature Playoff Stars Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum With Dark Matter Cards
With the 2021 NBA Playoffs about to begin, NBA 2K21 MyTeam mode features limited-time packs with several stars heading to the postseason. That includes Ben Simmons, a member of the No. 1 overall Philadelphia Sixers in the East. There’s also Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who will be battling to get his team into the playoffs via the Play-In Tournament.
In addition, these packs hold other promising young players expected to be top stars of the future. Here are more details about the NBA 2K21 Future Rewind Packs release.
Who’s in the NBA 2K21 Future Rewind Packs?
The NBA 2K21 Future Rewind Packs were officially announced for MyTeam on Monday, May 17 via social media. In the 2K MyTeam’s Twitter post (below), they revealed that there are over 20 players available in these packs. Some of the top cards will include rookie Anthony Edwards with a Dark Matter card, a Galaxy Opal Saddiq Bey, and Pink Diamond Jaxson Hayes.
However, three other stars have Dark Matter cards in this release, two of whom are looking at possible playoff runs. Ben Simmons, will be in the playoffs with the Sixers, as the East’s No. 1 seed. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are set to host the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night in one of the East’s Play-In tournament games. A win for Boston puts them into the No. 7 seed against the No. 2 seed Brooklyn Nets.
Tatum’s card available in the Future Rewind Packs is his 99 OVR Moments card, while Simmons has a 99 OVR Warped Reality card. Joining them with 99 OVR items are rookie Anthony Edwards and Zion Williamson, whose Pantheon cards are available.

Other playoff stars that gamers may find in these packs include Devin Booker of the Suns, Luka Doncic of the Mavs, and LaMelo Ball of the Hornets. Of note, the lowest-rated cards available will be 93 OVR Diamonds in these packs.
MyTeam pack, card prices, and more
To purchase NBA 2K21 Future Rewind Packs head to the MyTeam Store. Currently, these packs are available for 11,250 NBA 2K21 Virtual Coins or 15,750 MT for a single five-card pack. There’s also the 10-pack box at 101,250. Or for those with a bit more bankroll, the 202,500 VC 20-pack box is also there.
There’s also the option of heading straight to the NBA 2K21 Auction listings. There, gamers can buy now or bid on the specific players they want to add to their MyTeam. Simmons is going for as much as 485,100 MT on the PS4, while Tatum’s card is more affordable at just over 200,000 MT right now.
The NBA 2K21 Future Rewind packs are available for 48 hours in the MyTeam Store, so they’ll vanish from the store as of Wednesday, May 19 around 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Meanwhile, the Store also includes the recent Enshrinement Packs featuring HOFers Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan.
