NBA 2K21 MyTeam Next Packs Add Draft Stars Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, and More
The next group of futures stars has officially arrived in NBA 2K’s MyTeam. On the day of the 2021 NBA Draft, 2K unveiled their NBA 2K21 MyTeam Next packs. Inside these packs, gamers have a shot to pick up top picks Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, and Evan Mobley. There’s also a brand new 2K Locker Code for a chance to maybe get one of these new stars into those MyTeam lineups.
2K releases NBA 2K21 MyTeam Next Packs on Draft Day
On Thursday evening, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was the host venue once again for the NBA Draft. The 2021 top pick went to the Detroit Pistons, who opted to take the top talent available, Oklahoma State guard Cade Cunningham. Some have called him one of the most polished players since 2K22 cover star Luka Doncic.
The second pick went to the Houston Rockets, a team that has struggled since James Harden’s departure. They added talented guard Jalen Green from the NBA G League Ignite to their roster, hoping he’ll improve their success.
Other top picks in the NBA’s 2021 Draft included USC star Evan Mobley, Gonzaga’s Jalen Suggs, and Jonathan Kuminga of the Congo. These players and more are featured inside NBA 2K21 MyTeam Next packs. Check out the new trailer below with in-game footage of the stars.
In addition to the new rookies pictured above, NEXT packs also have some former top picks including Anthony Edwards, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Zion Williamson. Their cards are of the G.O.A.T. or Invincible variety.
The new NEXT packs are currently 15,000 Virtual Currency (VC) or 17,250 MT for a five-card Deluxe pack. A regular NEXT pack is 11,250 VC or 10,500 MT, while the 10-pack boxes are 135,000 VC.

Each of the rookies listed above has a 98 OVR and a 99 OVR card available as part of the new release. These cards are also selling for various prices at the NBA 2K21 Auction House.
New Locker Code, Agendas arrive in Season 9
Gamers don’t necessarily need to spend their hard-earned (or bought) VC or MT on the packs. A new Locker Code gives a chance to pick up one of the NBA 2K21 MyTeam NEXT packs for free. Simply enter the code below at the MyTeam/Extras/Locker Code screen. It’s available for one week from today.
Gamers will also have a plethora of new MyTeam Season 9 Agendas available to earn XP and other rewards. Among them is an agenda to get 30 slams with Cunningham, 20 assists with Jalen Green, or 30 boards with Jonathan Kuminga.
There are also other agendas there featuring the other former top picks in NEXT packs including Zion, Kareem, and LaMelo. MyTeam Season 9 has just over a week left for gamers to get those new cards and complete the tasks!
