The upcoming weekend features a good bit of NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 6 content for gamers to use for potential roster boosts. That includes the last of MyTeam’s IDOLS Series II releases featuring triple-double machine Russell Westbrook. The latest packs offer other upgraded players including Blake Griffin and Rui Hachimura. In addition to that, NBA 2K21 MyTeam has Michael Jordan taking over with various MJ rewards available this weekend.
NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 6: IDOLS Series II final release
By now, most fans know that NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 6 is underway with a Glitched Reality theme in effect. It’s featured Mystery players and also Dark Matter player items for gamers to collect. With the final release for IDOLS Series II, gamers have a shot at Dark Matter cards for Russell Westbrook and Blake Griffin.
With his new card, Russ gets a stellar set of attributes including 97s for Rebounding, Athleticism, and Playmaking. He’s also got a 93 Defense and 89 Inside Scoring, with a 96 for his Three-Point Shot. Add in his 46, yes, 46, Hall of Fame Badges, for one impressive new card.
There are also several Galaxy Opal player cards available in these packs. The Washington Wizards’ Rui Hachimura is one of them along with Marques Johnson. Other available players include Trevor Ariza, JaVale McGee, and Norman Powell.
Just like other packs, these will cost Virtual Currency or MT to pick up. However, NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 6 has featured Locker Codes, just like other seasons of the mode. The latest gives a chance to get a free IDOLS Series II pack, or other rewards. Enter the code “DARK-MATTER-WESTBROOK-DE6NK” for a chance to pick one up.
How does the Michael Jordan takeover promotion work?
In addition to the new pack release, it’s also possible to score some Michael Jordan player items in NBA 2K21 MyTeam this weekend. All versions of Michael Jordan will be available by playing in various modes for MyTeam including Limited, Triple Threat, and Unlimited. See our details below for how to try to get the MJ items.
One way to get MJ cards is to get a win in Unlimited mode. After each win, gamers will get a Jordan pack which has either an Air Jordan Shoe or a random MJ card. That could include Dark Matter Age of Heroes.
In Triple Threat Online, gamers will have a shot at MJ cards on the Ball Drop Tiers. The potential cards include Emerald, Amethyst, Pink Diamond, or Dark Matter MJs.
In regular Triple Threat, gamers needed to get into The Vault which will have the Ruby, Galaxy Opal, and Dark Matter cards. Last but not least, Limited mode will feature MJ’s Pink Diamond or Galaxy Opal cards.
The promotion will run until Monday, May 3, so there’s plenty of time to get into the games!
