On Wednesday, NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Patch Update 7 officially went live. The latest update went out to the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles, giving several fixes or improvements. NBA 2K has released the official patch notes for the update to give gamers an idea of what they should see improved. However, reports are coming in that some additional issues have arisen since developers implemented the latest patch.
What does NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Patch Update 7 include?
According to the @NBA2K Twitter account on Wednesday, April 21, just a few improvements arrived with the latest NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Patch Update. Gamers will now see improved player lighting and shadows in The City during the daytime hours.
In addition, the notes mentioned improvement for an issue that may have caused “slow bootup times for some PS5 users.” A fix was also implemented for a “potential hang in MyNBA Online” when gamers accepted trade offers.
The Next-Gen Patch Update 6 arrived back on April 6 and brought a group of updated player likenesses along with multiple fixes or improvements in NBA 2K21’s MyTeam mode.
NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Patch Update 7 arrives just a day after we reported on the game adding the first official Zion Williamson Signature Shoe, the Zion 1 to the game. The shoes are available for Virtual Currency in MyCareer mode at the Neighborhood’s 2K Shoe Store.
Additionally, NBA 2K added Mystery Packs which are among the latest NBA 2K21 Locker Codes gamers can enter into the MyTeam mode.
New update brings additional issues?
The release of NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Patch Update #7 also brought in some people reporting new issues. According to ComicBook’s report, there were individuals who said their load times became even worse with the patch update. Apparently, NBA 2K advised gamers to try restarting consoles to see if that improved load times, but many people were still indicating longer load times.
“The game won’t load now. I’ve been waiting 13 minutes and restarted twice waiting at least 10 minutes each time!” one gamer replied in the patch note tweet comments.
“This update made my Zion screen take longer,” another person said in the tweet comments.
“Y’all lied. Zion screen got worse and I lost my custom shoes deleting the game and redownloading it. Fix this,” another commented.
