NBA 2K21 Super Packs: Out of Position, Fan Favorites Including MJ and Kobe Return to MyTeam
For a limited time, a new batch of NBA 2K21 Super Packs has arrived in MyTeam, allowing gamers to score some of the best available cards so far. Among them are Dark Matter items for the game’s all-time greats, including Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant. Here are the latest details on this MyTeam Season 8 release, including prices and what’s available in the new packs.
NBA 2K21 Super Packs bring back OOP and Fan Favorites
The newest of the NBA 2K21 Super Packs bring back to hot releases to potentially score some top-notch items. With Out of Position cards, gamers get players in positions they don’t normally fill in the lineup. That might include Giannis at point guard, or Magic Johnson at center, among other interesting selections.
With fan favorites, these are some of the best of the best from the game of basketball. A 99 overall LeBron James card with 46 Hall of Fame Badges highlights that release. It also included stars such as Ja Morant, Anthony Davis, Mo Bamba, and R.J. Barrett amongst the 12 cards released in May.
These packs contain many potential players to pull, with the lowest-rated cards at 91 overall, including Kostas Antetokounmpo, Muggsy Bogues, and Joakim Noah items. However, the packs each have a guarantee you’ll get one of the Out of Position or Fan Favorites cards.
The drawback, as with previous limited releases, is that the only acceptable currency is Virtual Currency. A five-item pack goes for 11,250 VC, while 10-pack boxes are 101,250 VC, and 20-pack boxes are 202,500 VC. As most gamers know, VC is hard to come by without spending in real life.
The NBA 2K21 Super Packs are available for 48 hours as of 11 a.m. on Monday (June 28). So they’ll be off the market by Wednesday, June 30.
MyTeam Season 8 features Luka reward, free Dark Matter players
The new limited-time Super Packs join two other recent releases for NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8. We saw the new Splash Zone packs arrive with Invincible cards just last week, including Shaquille O’Neal, Derrick Rose, and Giannis Antetokoumnpo. The packs are available on the market for at least three more days.
In addition, the Dirk Nowitzki IDOLS III packs are also still available. Those feature the Dirk Invincible card, 99 OVR Dark Matter Devin Booker, and Glen Rice, along with three Galaxy Opal player items. These have just over a day left at the Pack Market as of this report.
Meanwhile, MyTeam Season 8 has 18 days left. The top reward at Level 40 is Luka Doncic Invincible Card which requires 150,000 XP to earn. Once gamers earn that Luka card, various Agendas are available to complete for the “Beyond Luka” series of Season 8. These involve using Luka Doncic to achieve different stats feats.
In addition, there are the weekly log-in rewards, as a free Dark Matter card has been given away each week. This week’s player is Mitch Richmond, which required logging in starting Saturday (June 26) through this coming Friday to get.
