NBA 2K22 Rebirth: How to Get the Reward in MyCareer for New or Current-Gen
With MyCareer Season 2, there’s a new NBA 2K22 Rebirth reward available for gamers to earn. Since it’s new it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to unlock it and earn it. It’s also different depending on which generation of the console you’re playing 2K22 on. We’ve got what you need to know for how to get the Rebirth Reward on new or current-gen, and what it can do.
What is the NBA 2K22 Rebirth Reward?
The NBA 2K22 Rebirth reward was just introduced to 2K’s Season 2 for MyCareer. It has appeared in previous editions of the game for MyCareer/MyPlayer. A recent patch update 1.05 on the current-gen added this reward and quest to earn it.
Rebirth will give your MyPlayer builds a headstart. It boosts a MyPlayer to a higher overall rating and/or skips past MyPOINTS levels, depending on the console. For 2K22 on current-gen consoles, it allows the MyPlayer to skip 10 pre-completed MyPOINTS levels. For the new-gen consoles, it allows the MyPlayer to jump to a 90 overall.
It’s basically a nice headstart for newly-created MyPlayer builds. It gives new builds more available starting attribute and badge upgrades to work with.
How to get the reward for New-generation consoles
The new-generation consoles are the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. As mentioned, you can have your MyPlayer skip ratings levels and become a 90 OVR with the Rebirth Reward.
You have to unlock the Quest for Rebirth. Do this at the ATM by the NBA Store and Club 2K. Once you’ve done that, you can begin completing the Quest. Once it’s available, complete 10 3v3 or 10 2v2 City games to unlock the Rebirth Reward. You’ll also get MVP Points as a reward.
How to get the reward for current-gen consoles
The current-generation consoles include the Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This requires a different set of circumstances to unlock the Rebirth Reward. First, your MyPlayer must already be a 90 OVR. Then, you must complete 10 3v3 games to get Rebirth.
Go into your Quest Journal, and you’ll see Rebirth Quest available. It will involve going to talk to Summer on M.O.A.T., Deck 16 to unlock it. She’s near the zipline area with an exclamation mark over her head. The Quest will have two steps. First, become a 90 overall (if not already), and then complete your 10 3v3 games.
How does NBA 2K22 Rebirth Reward work?
After gamers unlock the NBA 2K22 Rebirth Reward, it allows for a choice of save file. This can be a normal save or a “Rebirth save file” when creating a new MyPlayer. Rebirth saves can be created more than once.
With Rebirth, players can get all sorts of new rewards. An example is Badge points, with 20-30 Badge points spendable and available for upgrades.
