The official cover athletes for NBA 2K23 were already revealed. But some fans have a different idea in mind for a special cover. In fact, one Redditor shared an NBA 2K23 special cover concept featuring none other than Adam Sandler. Let’s check it out.

Fans love the cover idea, and also think it would be fun to be able to play Sandler in an NBA 2K game. Sandler is a huge basketball fan. In fact, he has appeared in two films that involve basketball. One of those is the 2019 crime thriller Uncut Gems, where he plays a jeweller and gambling addict named Howard Ratner. This movie received high ratings and won quite a few awards. Adam Sandler also starred in the 2022 film Hustle, where he plays an NBA scout. With a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this film was also a big success.
The actual cover athlete for the Standard Edition and cross-gen Digital Deluxe editions of NBA 2K23 is Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker. The covers of the NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition and the “ultra-premium” NBA 2K23 Championship Edition will, of course, feature Michael Jordan. Five-time Olympic gold medallists Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi will appear on the cover of the NBA 2K23 WNBA Edition.
Some players have questioned the choice of Booker for the cover of NBA 2K23 on the basis of the Mavericks beating the Suns during the playoffs. While that is understandable, there is no doubt that Booker’s talent shines bright. Last season, he averaged 26.8 points, 4.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds across 68 games. He also helped the Suns to set a record for the longest winning streak in the history of their franchise—18 games in a row.
