The first month of the new year is wrapping up and a new NBA Live 19 content update arrived for gamers to install. The newest update makes some roster adjustments, fixes bugs, adds gear, and other aspects of the basketball scene. Here’s a glimpse at some of what to expect from the latest NBA Live 19 content update for late January.
NBA Live 19 Content Update: Carmelo Anthony among roster updates, AD among injuries
Carmelo Anthony won’t be in a Houston Rockets jersey any more for the real game or NBA Live. That’s because Anthony was sent over to the Chicago Bulls after weeks of not playing any hoops. NBA Live 19 now has Melo on his proper roster for gamers to use or play against. In addition to Carmelo, Demetrius Jackson and Tyler Ulis are now free agents. Corey Brewer is on the Philadelphia 76ers while Kadeem Allen is now a member of the New York Knicks.
There are also a number of players who are now inactive in the game since they’ve suffered major injuries in the NBA. They include Indiana Pacers All-Star Victor Oladipo, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Jeff Teague, and the New Orleans Pelicans’ Anthony Davis. By the next update, Davis might even be on a new team, so stay tuned for that news.
In total there are 17 injured players. Due to the injuries, many NBA team lineups are also adjusted in the game. Check out the link at the bottom of this article for the full list.
NBA Live 19 Content Update: Playstyles, Ratings Adjustments, Bug Fixes
The latest Playstyles adjustments are only for players representing the 1980s Live Event team. Isaiah Thomas is a Floor General, while Larry Bird and Julius Erving are Wing scorers. Dominique Wilkins is a Slasher while Robert Parish is a Defensive Anchor. Those seem accurate for these legends of the game.
A total of 34 players have ratings adjustments with this content update. The biggest movers in a positive direction are the Denver Nuggets’ Malik Beasley (73) and OKC Thunder’s Jerami Grant (76). Both players have been doing well lately and warranted +4 increases. Luka Doncic (83) continues his climb in his rookie season as he received a +2 ratings increase. On the downside, CJ Miles (73) dropped by three while Kenneth Faried (76) is down by two points.

In addition, the bug fixes address portraits that were inaccurate for Court Battles Ben Wallace and Hoop Dome Vince Carter. The Court Battles Clyde Drexler is now in his proper position on the court as a shooting guard. For those looking at the minor details, gamers can’t equip long socks on players wearing pants anymore.
There are also a number of gear updates with this install. Check out the full NBA Live update notes here.
